House Extension Brunn am Geb.
Brunn am Gebirge, Austria
The existing 19th century building, which went through several conversion measures, is extended towards the garden side after getting a core removal and an energy-saving renovation.
Several constructional changes brought up a substantially limited building condition. Two misplaced staircases, are getting now replaced by one central stair, as the living kitchen gets an extension southwards.
Small scaled window openings in the facade are upgraded to room height glazing units, bringing big benefits to the residents, such as a magnificent view to the garden side.
As the side flanks are raised towards the living room, the barrier between Interior and Exterior gets repealed, bringing the impression of being really all alone amidst nature.
